Oh 2013, you sure are TRENDY!

Thanks to Pinterest and blogs and websites and photographers, brides-to-be can pretty much find any style and any design in any color in a matter of minutes right from their couch. Thus, just by "looking" it's almost apparent as to what is trending for the upcoming wedding season and what is not. Of course, there are lots of ideas and creative aspects that could fall under the category of trendy, but here I will show you a few of my personal favorites!

I already told you back in this post that the color of the year is Emerald (which I'm totally head over heels in love with), but what about mixing some other trendy colors with Emerald?

Below is one of my most favorite color combinations for this summer!

Prints & Patterns are making their way into the scene this year. I think adding that extra pattern to a table scape can really set the look and add some extra color to a otherwise boring white tablecloth!

Lace! Seriously, what's not to love about lace? Incorporate it a little or a lot - the possibilities are endless!

Boudoir Sessions! One of the biggest trends this year! After all, what groom wouldn't want to wake up on his wedding day to some surprise pictures of his soon to be new wife?!

**I do not own any photos in this post. All were found of the world wide web and meant for inspiration.

What are some of your FAVORITE trends this year??

Glitter and Sparkles and Sequins - OH MY!

Diamonds are a girls best friend but it appears that in this day and age all things sparkly come in at a  close second.

Maybe you're looking for a way to spice things up just a little. Why not add glittery shoes or a sparkly head peice to your attire? Maybe you want the head table at the reception to stand out. Why not have a sequin covered table cloth?

Big wedding or small wedding. Low budget or no budget. Neutral colors or bright colors.
No matter the case, all weddings can SPARKLE!

Here are some of my favorite ideas for incorporating a little shine into your big day.

Glittering "things" is the one of the easiest DIY wedding ideas with one of the biggest impacts!
Are you planning on using glitter or sparkles or shiny on your wedding day?

Anchorage Wedding Fair :: from my perspective...

There was fancy lights and decor. There was the music and fashion shows. There was blue cinderella wedding dresses. There was oodles of photogrpahers. There was floor to ceiling hanging chandelier curtains. Then there was me.

As a first time participant, I was completely overwhelmed with the extent some vendors took their booths to. If you could barf wedding, this is what I imagine it would look like.

Even with that being said, I do feel like I held my own. Brides were taking pictures of my booth for inspiration and I got several "This is so beautiful, where'd you get this?" questions.

Here are some pictures of my booth (taken with my phone....) for your viewing pleasure.

2013 Color of the Year - EMERALD!

It was recently announced by Patone that the 2013 Color of the Year is Emerald. I personally adore the many shades of green and I’m overly excited that this color is trending!

Whether you have a spring wedding or a winter wedding, a morning brunch wedding or an evening dinner wedding, a rustic chic wedding or a formal ballroom wedding, emerald is one of those colors that can be incorporated in just about any style there is.

Here are some emerald inspirations. Do you plan on using emerald or a shade of green in your wedding this year?

Published Internationally!!

Happy New Year!

2013 is already starting off great for Delightfully Designed and I couldn't be more excited! A beautiful wedding I was lucky enough to be apart of back in August was published on an International Blog! It is so exciting to be published, but on a blog of this caliber (where they receive hundreds of submissions monthly) is a dream come true! A very special thanks goes out to Jessica of Jessica Elle Photography for capturing such AMAZING pictures of this diamond filled event.
